TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE
1. The quotation is valid for 28 days from the issued date.
2. Acceptance of the quotation and terms and conditions by the customer is taken by payment of the deposit.
3. Once the quotation is accepted and the deposit has been received, the quotation will convert into an order
and is a binding contract on the parties
4. Quotations prepared from plans or drawings are estimates only and subject to check measure before the
final pricing can be confirmed.
5. Unless separately identified and quoted, the price does not include any allowance for hire of specialised
equipment to complete installation. This includes scaffolding, safety equipment and the engagement of
external trades such as electrical or painting. Cuchi will coordinate these elements to complete a
professional installation but will forward costs directly to client to minimize costs . All extra costs will be
discussed with client prior to proceeding with order.
6. The following payment terms apply: For orders involving supply and installation of goods, a deposit of 50%
of the total appearing on the quotation must be paid, prior to the commencement of any work of placement
of any orders. The remaining 50% balance is due prior to the date of installation. For orders involving supply
only, a deposit of 50% of the total appearing on the quotation must be paid, prior to commencement of any
work or placement of any orders. The remaining 50% balance is payable upon or prior to collection of goods.
7. This order cannot be cancelled once Cuchi has ordered the goods.
8. Most items cannot be ordered until a final measure is completed. As a result the total value of the contract
may be subject to a variation, where Cuchi cannot access the site and carry out a final measure, within 16
weeks of receipt of the deposit.
9. The customer is responsible for removal of all existing window treatments and/or furnishings, to enable
installation of the products listed in the quotation, unless this service is specifically included in the
quotation.
10. Whilst all care is taken, Cuchi does not accept any responsibility or costs for damage caused during the
removal of existing window treatments.
11. All products are made to industry standards unless specifically noted in the quotation and where applicable,
child safety devices are mandatory under Australian Standards and will be fitted. No responsibility is
accepted for uneven floors or out of square openings and as a result, an approximate 10mm floor clearance
is standard for most fabrics.
12. Fabrics which are subject to movement (Linen, Silk, Cotton)
13. Cuchi would advise to be sitting on the floor or puddling.
14. Cuchi holds no responsibility for products, which may appear uneven due to uneven flooring.
15. The client accepts that colours, weaves, thicknesses, paints, stains and textures may vary slightly from
samples provided and Cuchi does not guarantee an exact match to samples used for selection and quotation.
16. Fabrics, particularly natural fibres (Linen, Silk, Cotton), should be lined when subjected to strong sunlight to
avoid fading or damage from UV light.
17. External blinds are not designed to withstand strong winds. It is recommended that the products be raised
when winds exceed 50km per hour to protect your investment. Cuchi will always recommend a wind sensor
as a back up to manual operation.
18. The proposed installation date is based on estimated lead times for products, not guaranteed dates and
whilst every effort is made to achieve the proposed installation date, Cuchi is not liable for any loss or
damage due to delays to installation.
19. Products supplied are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty under the supplier, to be free from
manufacturing defects. This does not cover misuse, abuse, use outside of the manufacturer’s guidelines or
care instructions, or damaged caused by environmental conditions.
20. Whilst the repair or replacement of a product under warranty does not incur a fee, a charge for labour will
be quoted should an installer be required to attend site to collect, service or install the product.
